GDPR Awareness Workshop
GGF Members are invited to attend a free GDPR Workshop on 11 April at the Arden Hotel, Solihull. Non-Members may also attend for a fee - details below.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation becomes a reality on 25 May, 2018. It is important for consumer-facing businesses to understand the impact that new data protection requirements will have on their operations. Failure to comply could result in significant fines.
We appreciate that GGF Members and others in the glass and glazing industry are busy running their businesses. To make it easy to get up to speed with the new data protection regulations and how to make sure your company complies, the GGF has organised a GDPR Awareness Workshop - free to attend for GGF Members but also open to non-Members.
About the workshop
GGF has partnered with Cybercrowd - specialists in information, cyber security and data protection - to run a one-day GDPR Awareness Workshop.
The agenda includes:
- a general background to GDPR
- legal requirements
- the significance of all aspects of data processing
- what to do if you get a subject access request
The workshop will also include interactive break-out sessions and open discussion forums.
Date: 11 April, 2018
Location: Arden Hotel, Solihull (next to Birmingham International Station)
FREE for GGF Members
This workshop is free for GGF Members to attend. Non-Members may also attend at a cost of £245.
GGF Members may nominate the individual or individuals from their business they would like to attend. This is likely to prove popular so we will take bookings on a first come, first served basis.
