Kevin Hulin and Mike Wood Members of the FRGG recently met with the ABI to discuss the concerns the GGF and the wider passive fire industry have, in relation to the protection of the UK’s buildings.
Following this meeting, the ABI have expressed their support for the principles of the campaign and produced a statement that reads;
“The ABI supports the FRGG’s principles as an important part of a series of active and passive fire protection measures that can improve fire safety and reduce property damage.”
This sentiment completely mirrors the thinking of the FRGG and the wider fire protection community. The campaign is promoting the combination of well designed, successfully tested systems and products that ensure buildings are safe from the damaging effects of fire spread.
‘We are delighted that our message has been received so well by the insurance industry,” said FRGG Chairman Kevin Hulin of Mann McGowan. “We hope to engage with many other interested groups and parties in the coming months, with the GGF’s political and public affairs advisers GK Strategy. Our five point code really does contain a simple but very effective message.”
