Having previously held Constructionline Silver, Hazlemere Window Company Ltd made a commitment not to stop until it was able to be awarded Constructionline Gold, which it was in March 2019.
Constructionline work with over 10,000 buyers from nearly 4,000 organisations across the public and private sectors. Buyers use the Constructionline platform to quickly identify Suppliers that will enable them to complete a whole range of construction projects. They have 5 levels of standards, starting with Associate and then Bronze.
What is Constructionline Gold?
For any organisation to achieve Gold, Constructionline carry out an extended verified PQQ (covering Environmental Management, Equalities and Diversity, and Quality Management, and ensuring legislative compliance). Also to obtain Constructionline Gold, suppliers must possess and provide evidence of a current valid SSIP certificate. In addition to these investigations to achieve the Gold standard, Constructionline also conduct a number of further validation checks that they know are of interest to buyers, using their enhanced pre-qualification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS91.
To acheive the Gold standard, Constructionline also assess a company’s credentials for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies. Some of these policies form part of the Cabinet Office Selection Questionnaire (SQ), which the public sector is expected to comply with. As well as enhanced pre-qualification, all Constructionline Gold members are assessed for SSIP. Their Acclaim team is accredited to assess and award ‘Deemed to Satisfy’ SSIP certificates for health and safety – something that all construction buyers look for.
Many of the larger main contractors in the United Kingdom often require their suppliers to hold Constructionline Gold in order to apply for, and indeed stay on their Supply Chain. This is something that Hazlemere can now take advantage of!
