The GGF Technical department is the core function in the Federation and has maintained its industry-leading position on the technical front through; shaping industry standards, influencing legislation and providing the industry with the best technical information to help guide the daily operations of companies throughout the UK and abroad.
The GGF’s technical influence is far-reaching; from advising government departments, addressing international standards committees, offering technical guidance throughout the supply chain and through providing glass and glazing advice to the general public.
The GGF Director of Technical Affairs is a pivotal high profile role within the Federation’s infrastructure and one which offers many challenges and rewards. The GGF Technical department prides itself on having both a broad scope and significant output that includes: producing high-quality publications, responding to government consultations, advising companies on a daily basis, presenting at industry events, product testing and guiding companies on compliance with regulations and legislation.
