The GGF Health, Safety and Environment Committee holds meetings quarterly. This is a great way to discuss issues, trends, legislation updates and anything health, safety or environmental related. We also update and create new guidance for members on health and safety matters associated with the industry. If you would like to know more, please get in touch.
The GGF is launching a new ‘IOSH Approved’ Managing Safely In The Glass & Glazing Industry course, available exclusively to GGF Group Members from early 2024. This 22-hour, 3-day course, held at the GGF offices in London, aims to equip directors, managers, and supervisors with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage safety and health in the workplace, setting a new standard for the industry.
We are delighted to announce the GGF has gained ISO 14001 Accreditation. The GGF are dedicated to understanding and improving the effects our industry has on the environment and we are proud to be able to offer guidance and support to all GGF members surrounding environmental issues.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system and can be certified to. It maps out a framework that a company or organisation can follow to set up an effective Environmental Management System (EMS).
An EMS supports businesses in identifying, managing, monitoring and controlling environmental processes.
It doesn’t matter what type or size your organisation is, the ISO 14001 is a great standard to have. There are preferential rates available for GGF members, if you wish to gain this for your business.
